Hi Hoopers!
I am pursuing my Hoop Teacher Training Certification through Hoop Love Coaching, which is an incredible program!
As part of our final assessment, we have to submit a video showing us teaching. So, I prepared my first video tutorial. The perfectionist in me will not let me post this without stating my awareness of the following flaws:
I know the lighting, angle and editing are poor. To be honest, I have been working on the certification since last September, and I just wanted to try to capture this in one take. I am hoping it will be assessed on content rather than video making skills, as I think the time frame for me to become proficient in those would extend way past the course deadline!
Also, I know I didn't demonstrate perfectly cleanly. To be honest, I had ACL reconstruction surgery a week ago today, and I feel very physically awkward right now. But as I said, it has been a goal of mine to finish this course for nine months now, and I just felt I needed get it done and accept where I am as I heal, awkward clunkiness and all.
Having said all that, I did chose to post it here (it wasn't required to post publicly!), just to share. I think this is a really cute skill, I actually learned it first with a juggling bean bag. I haven't really seen it used much in hooping, so maybe this can be a way of getting some momentum for it! And it's really easy and fun, the kind of skill anyone can pick up rather quickly and enjoy exploring.
Please feel free to share any questions or feedback!
